Ram Trucks Australia has issued a nationwide product safety recall for 149 Ram 1500 pickups produced in 2026 due to an issue with their daytime running lights.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the parking lights and the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) may not illuminate as intended,” the recall notice said.
“If the parking lights and DRLs do not operate as intended, the vehicle may be less visible to other road users. This could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

“Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ram Trucks Australia and/or their local Ram dealer for the vehicle to be inspected. Any rectification work regarding the recall will be free of charge.”

More Ram 1500s were caught up in a global recall affecting more than 1.4 million vehicles in August 2026 due to an issue with the mounting of their second-row seatbelts.
The Ram 1500 is Australia’s best-selling full-size pickup so far in 2026, leading the segment to September this year ahead of the Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Tundra and Ford F-150.
Concerned owners can contact any authorised Ram dealer or the Ram Trucks Australia customer centre on 1300 681 655.
