Renault reveals capped-price van servicing

Renault has extended the capped-price service offerings on its van range in Australia.

The Master, Trafic, and Kangoo are critical cogs in Renault’s local range, accounting for more than 50 per cent of sales for the brand to date in 2020.

However all are facing stiff competition from updated rivals such as the Toyota HiAce, Volkswagen Crafter, and Ford Transit Custom.

Renault is hoping to entice buyers into its vans with a new five-year capped-price service plan offering, extended from the existing three years.

The new plans include consumables such as filters and fluids. However, the required belt change in the Kangoo isn’t covered.

The van range also features five years of roadside assistance when serviced at Renault Australia dealers.

Kangoo, Trafic, and Master models sold before August 31, 2020 are backed by a five-year, 200,000km warranty.

“The new program was studied across all three nameplates in Renault’s hard working LCV range,” said Renault Australia aftersales manager, Matthew Wright.

“We’ve worked to improve transparency by including nearly all items previously additional to the published schedule such as air and pollen filters, coolant and brake fluid replacement and accessory drive belts as standard.” 

The capped-price service pricing offers are below:

• Kangoo petrol: $2365, plus $189 for accessory belt replacement
• Kangoo diesel: $2505, plus $899 for timing and accessory belt replacement
• Trafic 1.6-litre turbo-diesel: $3695
• Trafic 2.0-litre turbo-diesel: $3295
• Master: $3655

Prices are for five years of scheduled maintenance.
