Renault Captur

The Renault Captur is no longer on sale in Australia, having been replaced in Renault’s local small SUV lineup by the newer Symbioz. During its time here, the Captur served as the brand’s compact, city-friendly crossover, aimed at buyers wanting European styling, manageable dimensions and a higher seating position than a hatchback. It was a natural fit for urban singles, couples, downsizers and small families seeking an easy-to-park SUV with more design flair than many mainstream alternatives. While the Captur name continues overseas, Renault Australia has shifted its focus to the slightly larger Symbioz, which now carries the brand’s small SUV offering locally and introduces Renault’s first full-hybrid powertrain for this market.
