2027 Kia PV7: Large electric commercial van teased

The electric 2027 Kia PV7 commercial van has been previewed ahead of its global debut in September 2026.

Based on a version of the South Korean automaker’s E-GMP architecture – which underpins the Kia EV6 and EV9, as well as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Ioniq 9 electric vehicles – the PV7 is expected to be the largest model in Kia’s growing electric van lineup, sitting above the recently released PV5.

Kia has already teased the PV7 as a concept car, with the production model unlikely to stray too far from the concept’s futuristic design.

According to the Korean Car Blog, the PV7 is said to measure between 5270mm and 5900mm long, depending on the wheelbase variant, which puts it up against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter, the LDV eDeliver 9, and the Ford E-Transit, among others.

Kia has previously said the PV7 will offer increased interior space, an “impressive” driving range, and enhanced functionalities.

For context, the mid-size PV5 uses a single 120kW/250Nm electric motor powering the front wheels, fed from a 71.2kWh battery – with a claimed 416km (WLTP) range.

The PV7 was shown under the Platform Beyond Vehicles (PBV) banner, and Kia is also planning a smaller PV1 cargo van for overseas markets.

“We hope to make our customers’ lives easier and better, whether they’re stationary or on the move, offering exceptional flexibility and customisation through radical modularisation.”

Full details of the 2027 Kia PV7 are expected to be announced at the electric van’s global debut, taking place in Germany on September 15, 2026.
