Kia Australia has quietly confirmed initial details for the second-generation Seltos Hybrid (HEV) lineup as it hits dealerships this week.
The 2027 Kia Seltos Hybrid range is available in six variants total – S, S with Safety Pack, Sport, Sport+, GT-Line FWD and GT-Line e-AWD – and punters may be pleasantly surprised with the level of standard specification from the base grades.
Pricing starts from $39,990 drive-away, with standard kit including 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, the full Integrated Panoramic Display (12.3 + 5.0 + 12.3-inch displays) with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Kia Connect services with over-the-air updates, as well as dual-zone climate control and a reversing camera with front and rear sensors.
The base model is available with a $2500 Safety Pack that adds a surround-view camera system, Blind Spot View Monitor cameras, Remote Smart Parking Assist, as well as side parking sensors – see the full breakdown based on a dealer bulletin obtained by CarExpert below.

Front-wheel drive versions will get a 113kW/265Nm 1.6-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder hybrid system, while e-AWD models will add another electric motor on the rear axle for electrified AWD, with system power boosted to around 133kW.
The Kia Seltos is the first model from the Hyundai Motor Group to utilise the new electrified AWD (e-AWD) system.
Kia Australia has previously confirmed the new Seltos gets a localised suspension and steering tune for "a more responsive, firmly damped and with reduced body roll for local Australian tastes... [including] adjustments made to the damper and spring rates, with a different steering tune".
Key rivals include the related Hyundai Kona Hybrid (from $39,990 D/A), in addition to the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid (from $37,440 plus on-roads), GWM Haval Jolion Hybrid (from $32,990 D/A), Chery C5 Hybrid (from $31,990 D/A), MG ZS Hybrid+ (from $29,990 D/A), Nissan Qashqai e-Power (from $45,850 + ORCs), and Jaecoo J5 SHS-H (from $34,990 D/A).
